I earned my BA in English Literature from Northwestern University, an MA in Latin American Studies from Tulane University and my MA in English along with my teaching license from Colorado State University.

I have been a teacher at Ft Lupton High School since 2008, teaching 10th, 11th, and 12th grade Engish Language Arts, including AP Literature and Composition.  I love Ft. Lupton!  Before becoming a teacher I was a store manager for Starbucks Coffee Company and an assistant store manager at Barnes and Noble.  I know a lot about literature, books, and coffee!

Karen Buntinas teaches 11th grade English and AP Literature and Composition, and this will be her third year teaching at Fort Lupton High School.  Karen attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, earning a B.A. in English with a minor in Spanish.  She also has an M.A. in Latin American Studies from Tulane University and attended CSU in Fort Collins for her teaching license and her M.A. in English.  She moved to Colorado from Illinois eight years ago with her husband, and enjoys hiking, hanging out with her family, and reading.
