        Marcia Hester is a native Coloradoan, who grew up in Lakewood, Colorado.  She graduated with a Bachelorette degree in Sociology and Education from the University of Colorado at Boulder.  From there she moved to Virginia, where she taught sixth grade for three years before moving to Michigan.  In Michigan, Marcia taught reading and math to soldiers from all branches of the military while working in a military base learning center for eight years.  During this time, she received a Masters Degree in Reading Education from Oakland University, and became a mother of two children.  Longing to return to Colorado, Mrs. Hester moved back in 2003 and began working at Fort Lupton Middle School as an 8th grade reading teacher.  After 4 years, she became an instructional coach at Fort Lupton High School.  During this time, she attended the University of Denver where she received a principal certificate and license.  Afterward, Marcia was promoted to API Coordinator for the high school.  From 2011-2016, she was an Assistant Principal at Fort Lupton High School, and in 2016, became the Principal.
