Doug Gordon Principal
Hello, my name is Doug Gordon, Principal here at Fort Lupton High School. I grew up in Central Illinois and received my bachelor's degree in History Education from Illinois State University. My wife and I, along with our two children, moved from Illinois to the great state of Colorado in 1999. I began my teaching career in 2000 at Windsor High School where I was a special education teacher for 6 years and a history teacher for 9 years. During that time I received my master's degree in special education and my educational specialists degree in administration from the University of Northern Colorado. After 15 years in the classroom, I made the transition to administration and worked as the Dean of Students at Mead High School for 3 years. In 2019, I was hired as the new Assistant Principal at Fort Lupton High School and held that position until June of 2022. Currently, I am the Principal at Fort Lupton High School. On a personal note, I am a die hard Las Vegas Raiders and St. Louis Cardinals fan. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of Fort Lupton High School and the community of Fort Lupton. Nate Jacobson
Assistant Principal
 I began my professional career at the Denver children's home in Denver Colorado. I ran a wilderness therapy program for six years before transitioning to a Treatment Supervisor position. In 2006 I began coaching girls basketball at Brighton High School, and the next year began teaching in their special education department. In 2016 I became the Dean of Students at Chaparral High School in Parker Colorado. Three years after that I took a Dean position at Bromley East Charter School in Brighton to be closer to home.
I have lived in Colorado most of my life and in Brighton for the past 21 years. My wife and I have been married for 25 years and we have three daughters.
My daughter Avery is an internationally recognized artist and Evynn and Emree are accomplished athletes.
My favorite hobby is golf, so I have spent a lot of time in Fort Lupton at Coyote Creek golf course ( I am a volunteer starter as well). After a round of golf, we usually head over to Wholly Stromboli!! This is my family's favorite restaurant. My experiences in the community of Fort Lupton have allowed me to meet some of the kindest people I know. So again, I am excited about this opportunity.
I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Colorado, my teaching license from Metropolitan State University in Denver, and my graduate degree from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City Utah.

Richard Jacoby
Assistant Principal/Athletic Director
 Hello Blue Devils, I am currently entering my 23rd year of secondary education in the State of Colorado. I have enjoyed every single year working with, shaping, and guiding students primarily in rural areas of the state. I received my Bachelors in Agriculture Education from Colorado State University, and was blessed to teach Agriculture Education and serve as an Advisor in the FFA for 19 years. Over the years I have also had a passion for coaching, I have coached at the high school level Football, Wrestling, Baseball, Basketball, and Track. That has led me to pursuing a move from the classroom into the administrative role and have served as the Athletic Director at Bennett School District for the past 3 years. With the move to administration I pursued my principal's licensure and that's what has spurred my move to be a BLUE DEVIL! Taking on the role of Athletic Director & Assistant Principal has become a new goal for me and I couldn't think of a better place to do it. Excellence has filled the Fort Lupton halls, gyms, and courts; it's evident looking at the names on the walls and the trophies in the cases. It is my goal to get back to that among all of our programs. I truly love watching our students compete and is one of the best examples in life. The hard work, perseverance, commitment, struggle, strife, excitement, disappointment, adapting, and overcoming adversity is life and can happen over a high school career, season, game or practice. If you've been around athletics enough you know you may go through all of those feelings and emotions in one drill. depending on the day! I am devoted to my faith, family, and friends and I can't think of anything better than spending valuable time with each of them. I love being outdoors taking in a sporting event, fishing, hunting, hiking, or working on my small family farm. GO BLUE DEVILS!

Melissa Klomp
Dean of Students
 Hello Bluedevil family, my name is Melissa Klomp and I am the Dean of Students. I am a native to Colorado and grew up in south Denver, I graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School. As a high school student I played soccer and was on the swim team. I am very close to my family and am a first generation college graduate. I went to Metro for my teaching degree and Regis for my Masters in Educational Administration. Before becoming a Dean I taught English, Student Council, Yearbook, and Drama and I fully support students both in academics and clubs/sports. I am so excited to work with students to help them navigate high school successfully. Being a dean is so much more than just discipline; I want students to know I will always help them make good decisions and be an adult they can come to when they are struggling.
